CricHQ Scoring and Rules and Ragulations

We are now in third week of the season and we are pleased to say that most of things are going very well. Things are getting better and better with the time and we are moving in the right direction. But there are some points which we would like to make here

  1. The purpose of Online Scoring with CricHQ App was not only to do team scoring but we wanted to have a clean and transparent system where we can evaluate player performances. This is very important as we don’t want any controversies later. But we have received multiple complains that scoring is not being done properly. It is very important for the scorer to know who is bowling and who is batting. Otherwise things will not work well at all. In the end you will have right team total but wrong player results. Our officials were present in each and every match until now to help you in online scoring. And we have noticed that some clubs are not taking it that seriously and leave the matter to one or two persons who are not even part of their clubs. It is very important that clubs do scoring by themselves and have multiple players who can do scoring. Here is once again link of the tutorial. Please invest 20 minutes and learn to do this. It would be better if you install CricHQ app on your mobile device and do scoring for a dummy match.

  2. We have already explained the player registration process. From today no club can add players in their teams without the prior knowledge of Shuja Ahmed. And after informing Shuja Ahmed, a player can’t participate in a match for at least 2 weeks. Clubs failing to do so and playing with unregistered players will not only lose match but could also get -ve points. Please read this post

  3. NRWCU is showing at most flexibility and try to help each and every club. but we are getting some poor response from some clubs. Most of the clubs are cooperating and helping each other. But we want to be 100% when it comes to rules and regulations of the game. NRWCU has provided colored kits to all clubs. We have noticed that some people are using other outfits rather than their official kits provided by NRWCU. This is not acceptable and from now on no player can participate in a match without proper outfits.
  4. It is very important for the clubs to be in ground at least 30 minutes before start of their match. We are having at least 2 and in some cases 3 matches in one day and we can’t make it if we start late. Deducting overs is not a good solution. So we have decided that if the match starts late or has delay because of some general problem or both teams then equal overs will be dudcted from each innings. 1 over per 4 minutes. but if a club comes late and match is delayed only because of one club then over will be deducted only from their batting innings. And again 1 over per 4 minutes. We must remind here that we have noticed that some clubs arrived in ground some 30 minutes after the scheduled play for a T20 game. If these club do the same in future then they will have to chase a target or set a target in less overs than their opponents. Thirty minutes delay simply means deduction of 8 overs. Same time umpires have to move the game fast. If umpire decides that we can’t finish the game in time then he can deduct overs during the match. Please also understand that it is not always possible to start 2nd and 3rd game in time each and every time. So we hope the clubs will show patience and cooperate us on this.

All these rules are not there to punish someone or make things tough. In fact these rules are there to improve the standards of cricket and make things simpler and easier for clubs.
